🌅 A New Era for Bitcoin
A major development for Bitcoin and Lightning this week. Lightning Labs announced the first mainnet release of a protocol for assets on Bitcoin and Lightning.
With Taproot Assets v0.3, builders have all the tools needed to make Bitcoin a multi-asset network, but in a scalable manner that upholds Bitcoin's core values. Let the building commence.
🤠 Argentina's Inflation Crisis
The fourth part of Follow the Money by Peter McCormack was released this week and it’s another belter. He travels to Buenos Aires to understand Argentina's history of inflation, the damage it has caused the country and the tools people have to survive a collapsing currency.
Plus get to see Peter show off his horse riding tekkers.

🙈 CoinTelegraph Made A Boo-Boo
That’s putting it nicely! Did you see Bitcoin spike 10% in a couple of minutes this week?
This happened because CoinTelegraph reported that Blackrock’s Spot Bitcoin ETF had been approved by the SEC. The news spread like wildfire and caused Bitcoin to rocket but this turned out to be false.
Think of this as a dress rehearsal for when a Bitcoin spot ETF gets approved.

🏗️ Bitcoin Mining On The World’s Most Expensive Object
Bitcoin mining company Sazmining has opened its newest 100% renewable energy facility on the Guinness World Record’s most expensive object on earth, the Itaipu hydroelectric dam.
Due to Paraguay’s unique hydropower generating dynamics, it was selling 5 Gigawatts of power at a loss to its neighbour, Brazil. Local authorities and communities have embraced the company's presence.
🔥 What else have you missed?
1. Larry Fink, CEO of $10 Trillion BlackRock states: "I believe crypto will play that type of role, as a flight to quality." Note: he’s prohibited from saying Bitcoin because of their filing with the SEC but can talk about crypto in general
2. Verde Mining is offering educational courses for energy producers to set up and manage their own mining operations.
3. The European Central Bank highlights key features of their “Digital Euro”
4. Spiral aimed to make the greatest Bitcoin 101 video ever made. Instead, they made this.
