🧠 Quote Of The Week
“Someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.”
— Warren Buffett

🚿 Your Boiler's Got a Side Hustle
Heatbit has unveiled Bitwater, an immersion heater that mines Bitcoin whilst it warms your hot water tank.
It screws into an existing electric tank, swapping the usual coil for mining chips that use the water as coolant. Heatbit advertises up to 34 TH/s, with preorders open and shipping pencilled in for early 2027.
There’s no price or independent testing yet, and Heatbit’s own terms warn earnings could be zero. But your airing cupboard can now be part of the network.

🚫 Looking After “Your” Money
UK bank customers lodged 10,092 complaints in just 90 days over blocked or capped transfers to regulated exchanges, according to a new Stand With Crypto report.
Lloyds topped the list with 2,297, despite having no published policy restricting such payments. Barclays (1,569) and NatWest (1,278) followed. Barclays caps transfers at £2,500 a go and £10,000 a month, whilst Starling, TSB, Chase UK and three others block them outright. Barclays says the limits protect customers from scams.
Complaints came from every one of the UK’s 650 constituencies. The FCA’s new regime arrives next year, but your bank still decides where your money goes.

📈 “Fraud” Tops the Forecasts
JPMorgan Asset Management has, for the first time, put a long-term return forecast on Bitcoin, and it tops the table.
Its 2027 outlook pencils in 10% a year over the next decade, ahead of US large caps (7.5%), bonds and gold (5.5%). The bear case is minus 9.7% a year; the bull case, 17%.
In 2017, its boss Jamie Dimon called Bitcoin a fraud; the bank still calls it speculative and stops short of recommending an allocation.

🔐 Custody Moves In-House
London-headquartered Standard Chartered has signed definitive agreements to buy Zodia Custody outright, bringing its digital asset custody business fully in-house.
Zodia launched in 2020 as a venture with Northern Trust. Its custody arm will now sit inside the bank itself, once regulators sign off.
One British bank blocks your transfer. Another wants to hold the coins.

📺 Harmful and Dangerous?
YouTube removed The Bitcoin Conference and Simply Bitcoin channels this week under its “harmful and dangerous” content policy, then reinstated them after a backlash.
The Bitcoin Conference’s first appeal had been rejected. It follows Bitcoin.com’s decade-old channel being pulled in April.
Back online. Until the next algorithm decides otherwise.

🎙️ Why Saving in Pounds Is a Losing Game
The pound is built to lose value. It isn’t a conspiracy; it’s the Bank of England’s 2% inflation target doing exactly what it says.
Cameron Parry, founder and CEO of Tally Money, joins Jordan at Antidote in London to unpack what sound money looks like, why gold and Bitcoin tackle the same problem from different angles, and what it means to save in something nobody can debase.
